Starting off s...l...o...w...l...y
So, I have not posted in a while. Not off to the best start on this blog thing. I'm going to blame this one on Eric. He has been glued to the laptop for the past several days... first researching what Steve Jobs was going to announce, then watching and re-watching the State of the Apple, then reading other people's opinions on what he announced. I can't stand listening to Mr. Jobs. I think that he fancies himself a computer god reigning over the Mac-Cult (The Macbook Pro might just censor this as I type, so I'm not sure if this will show up or not). I think Eric wants to join the Mac-Cult, but they will not let him in until he gets his iPhone. I'm not sure how many times per day Eric mentions the iPhone's awesomeness, but it is somewhere in the dozens. The man loves his technology (and his Steve Jobs).

Eric's walktastic
I'm going to use my new blog to give a shout out to jivinflava. He's been walking up a storm this week. I'm very proud of his energizer-bunny-style endurance. I hope it lasts when the tropical weather leaves us again. Maybe we will get motivated to fix the squeaky noise that is keeping us from using the elliptical machine in our basement.*

Hellga is an awesome name
So, I don't think words can explain how happy I was watching the new Gladiator tonight. Eric and I watched the first hour thinking it was only an hour long show, then subsequently flipped out (ninja style) when we found out that there was a bonus hour in the season premier. Awesome. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how well they have recreated the original show... from the lame hosts, to the scripted contestant interviews, tight outfits, small hyped up audience in an old warehouse, and, of course, the events. Here is my best and worst of the new AG (in my opinion):
Best new gladiator: Hellga. Hands down.
Worst new gladiator: Mayhem. Can he say more stereotypical cliches? "This my my house dawg!" Runner up: Toa. He wears a skirt.
Best event (old or new show): Assault.
Lamest event: None. They are all awesome.
It's on again tomorrow night... enjoy!

You bring meaning to my life....
The inspirations for my new blog:
1. Everyone said I should make one, and I like to keep the people happy.
2. American Gladiators is back on TV, and I need to comment in blog form. (Watch for post #2).
3. The writers strike has severely limited the number of TV shows that I want to watch, and I need another mindless way to fill my days.
4. My mom needs another thing to read on the internet. Hi mom!
We'll see how this goes folks -wish me luck!
